My story changes everyday and for that I’m thankful. Recently we’ve had many new changes for my husband and I and the ministrywe are part of here to the upstate. It began with our son Frankie coming home after an earthquake hit Haiti and the city where he lived. I’m 34 years old. I’ve been married for 12 years. I have three precious children, Emma (7) Izzie (3) and Frankie (3). I long to have impact and influence in our world. I hope each day I am truly trying to live that out with the life I live and the opportunities that get to come my way. I also love to clean, organize, paint, run, play tennis, and try to find ways to be involved in our local school and neighborhood.
My Husband:I often wonder how I was so lucky that fate drew us together. My husband is the most wonderful man on the planet. He has wowed me from the moment we fell in love. He is my other half. Life with him has been the most fascinating and amazing adventure. Many days I wake up and have to really ask myself how did God allow such a wonderful man to enter my life. We are a true partnership in all definitions of that word. He has an amazing calling on his life and I consider it a humbled joy to be able to partner with him in that and help the best I can. He is a man who meets all of my needs and who loves his family more than anything. But above all he is a man who wrestles with God everyday. Who loves Jesus with all is intellect and heart and has surrendered it all to what God wants to do with and through our family.
Our Children:Emma (7) Izzie (3) Frankie (3) - The joy of my life. We waited 5 years before having Emma. I would recommend that to anyone. Dave and I enjoyed the freedom to pick and and go on many adventures. Life then was a lot easier but definitely not as rich. Emma came and changed our world and then Izzie joined her after the thoughts of having more children were coming to a close. Frankie joined our family in 2009 from Haiti. Raising kids is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. However if you are a parent you know it’s the most rewarding and fulfilling thing as well. I consider it a wonderful blessing that I get to be the mother of these wonderful kids.

Hello! I met you while I was working at Heartline and I found your blog through Jamie’s. I am SO SO excited to hear that you are adopting through John and Beth. Having spent almost 7 months working in their children’s homes I can assure you it’s one of the greatest places in Haiti!!!!
I can’t wait to hear more about your adoption!!
Blessings,
Jess
Hi there, You don’t know me but I have been reading your story and I find your family very encouraging to me.I also have a little girl and would love to have another child but desperately want to adopt from Haiti since it has been a dream since I was young.I have been to haiti many times and have fallen in love the the people there. I was just wondering if you could give me some advice for adopting, maybe a good agency to go through or where to get started. It is overwhelming! Thank you and good luck with your little guy!
